Members "A”
Category “A” Members are Operators of Oil Maritime Terminals and Mono Buoys, including Maritime Terminal Operators for liquefied natural gas (LNG).
HOW TO BECOME A CATEGORY "A” SLOM MEMBER
- The Company shall be fully identified as Operator of Oil Maritime Terminals and Mono Buoys.
- The Company shall contact, through SLOM's Website, via e-mail or any other means of communication, any of the Board of Director's members or SLOM's Administrative Director in order to report its intention to become a Category "A" Member to SLOM.
- SLOM’s president shall contact the Company and send a draft of the Memorandum of Understanding, jointly with any other related documents, for review by the Company’s Attorneys.
- The Company shall return the Memorandum of Understanding duly completed and signed by its Legal Representative or any other suitable authority to make the Agreement valid. The Company may modify the draft submitted by SLOM in accordance with any requirements made by the Company’s Attorneys.
- SLOM’s president shall sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
- The Administrative Director shall contact the Company to provide the membership code for the new Member “A”.
DUTIES
- Support as possible the compliance with SLOM’s business purpose and perform any activities contributing to the accomplishment of the Association's Objectives.
- Perform as possible the activities required by the Board of Directors with the intent of properly managing the Association.
- Timely pay the membership dues established by the Assembly and within the terms set for this purpose, once implemented.
- Comply with the by-laws and regulations subsequently issued within the Association.
- Participate in Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assemblies through a representative.
- Participate through a representative in the committees established by the Board of Directors with the intent of reviewing or developing specific matters for the proper management of the Association.
RIGHTS
- Participate in the General Assembly meetings through a representative with full membership, with the right to speak in debates and to vote.
- A Member “A” representative or any other individual designated by the Company by written notice may participate in the elections or be elected for any position of the Board of Directors or is eligible to be part of the Association’s organizational structure.
- Through its representative, a Member "A" may request a meeting of the Assembly as provided for under the by-laws.
- Through its representative, a Member “A” may submit proposals, aligned with the Association’s purposes, to the Board of Directors or during the Assembly’s meetings.
- A Member “A” shall have the support of the Association in all matters related to the objectives of the same.
- A Member “A” may access the technical information on the Association's website and participate in activities and training programs to be held by the Association.
